How to find your Apple Serial Number and IMEI?

Find out how to find your iPhone, iPad, iPod, Mac or other Apple product serial number and IMEI Code. There are several places to find these numbers in this tutorial we will try to describe all of them.

If you have access to your device and your Apple product is activated you can find the Serial Number and IMEI by using settings:

• If your are iPhone, iPad or iPod touch user follow these steps:

1. From the Home Screen find and select Settings.
2. Scroll down to General and open this section. Afterwards tap About.
3. Here you can find your desire information.

• If you would like to find the Serial Number in Mac read this instructions:

1. Find Apple Menu and then select About This Mac.
2. Afterwards click twice on the Mac OSX version number.
3. Excellent! Now you have access to serial number.

If your device cannot be switched off and you still haven't found the number you should read the following instructions.  There are several places to find these numbers on the physical device. Let’s see where you can find the Serial Number.

• iPad, iPod - On the back of the device
• iPhone 6s, 6s Plus 7, 7 Plus - The IMEI is located on the SIM tray. Unfortunately the Serial Number does not appear physically on the device.
• iPhone 3G, 3GS, 4 (GSM model), 4s - The IMEI is located on the SIM tray
• iPhone 5, 5s, 5c, SE, 6, 6 Plus - The IMEI is located on the back of the device. Unfortunately the Serial Number does not appear physically on the device.
• Unibody MacBook Pro iMac G4, iMac G3 - On the back of the device
• MacBook, early MacBook Pro, PowerBook G4, PowerMac G3, PowerMac G4 – Inside the battery compartment.  You have to remove battery at first.
• iBooks (White) - Under the keyboard. In order to open the keyboard, pull back on the spung tabs between the F-buttons.
• Intel iMac, iMac G5 - Under the main stand.
• Mac Pro, PowerMac G5 – Located on lower cover under side panel. In order to remove side panel, lift lever on rear of Mac.

If you are looking to find some alternative way of finding your device's Serial and IMEI number. You can do it by using the iTunes. This method works in iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, iPod touch.

1. At first connect your device to PC.
2. Afterwards open the iTunes application.
3. Then select the Summary tab in order to check Apple Information.
4. Well done! Here you can find the appropriate information.

If you don't have your device there are still several places to check the Serial or the IMEI Number:

• The original packaging. You may find the label with serial number and IMEI/MEID (iPhone or iPad) and other information. All the information should be also shown as barcodes.
• On the device’s contract of sale the original product receipt or invoice.
