Hard Reset HTC Desire 526G

First method:

1. First of all, hold down the Power key for a short while in order to turn off the HTC Desire 526G.
2. Then press and hold the following combination of keys: Volume Down + Power for a several seconds.
3. Let go of held keys as soon as the Download Mode pops up.
4. Use the Volume keys to select option "Bootloader",and press Power button to confirm it.
5. Afterwards press the Volume Down to scroll down to "Reboot to Recovery Mode" and use the Power button to choose it.
6. As soon as the phone with the exclamtion mark appears on the screen hold down the Power key.
7. While holding down the Power button press the Volume Up key once.
8. The Recovery Mode should appear on the screen.
9. From the recovery menu choose "wipe data / factory reset" by using Volume buttons to navigate and Power button to confirm.
10. Next, choose "Yes -- delete all user data" to confirm the whole operation.
11. After that select option "reboot system now" in order to restart the smartphone.
12. Well done! The factory reset has just been performed.

Second method:

1. First of all, hold down the Power button to turn the device back on.
2. Then from Main Menu go to Settings and tap Backup & Reset.
3. Afterwards choose Reset phone and select Erase all data.
4. Finally, tap OK to confirm your choice.
5. Success! Your device is ready to use.
