Hard Reset HTC Desire 650

First method:

1. At the very beginning hold down the Power rocker for a few seconds until the phone is turned off.
2. Then press and hold the Volume Down + Power button at the same time for a couple of seconds.
3. You should release the Power key as soon as the HTC logo appears on the screen.
4. Afterwards use the Volume keys to select option "Bootloader", and press Power button to confirm.
5. Then press Volume Down to select option "Reboot to Recovery Mode", and press Power button to confirm.
6. When Android Robot appears on the screen hold down Power key for a while.
7. While holding the Power button press the Volume Up once.
8. Next select from Recovery Mode menu "wipe data / factory reset" using Volume buttons to navigate and Power button to confirm.
9. In the next step choose "Yes -- delete all user data" to confirm the whole operation.
10. After that select option "reboot system now".
11. Well done! The hard reset has just been performed.

Second method:

1. The smartphone must be turned off, so hold down the Power key for a short while.
2. Next, from Main Menu go to Settings and tap Backup & Reset.
3. Afterwards choose Reset phone and select Erase all data.
4. In this step tap OK to confirm your choice.
5. Success! Your device is ready to use.
