First method:

1. Switch off the cell phone.
2. Then hold down Power key for about 3 seconds.
3. Afterwards press and hold Volume Up and Volume Down button for about 10 seconds, until you see Android recovery menu.
4. Then select "Wipe data/Factory reset" using Volume Down to scroll option, and press Power button to accept.
5. Choose "yes" from the menu, and accept it with Power button.
6. Now accept option "reboot system now".
7. That's all.

Second method:

1. If the device is off hold down the Power button for a short while.
2. Afterwards go the Menu and find and select Settings.
3. In the next step choose Backup & Reset (Privacy) and tap Factory data reset.
4. Choose Reset phone and select Erase everything to confirm the whole operation.
5. Well done! You have just performed a hard reset operation!
